Wow what a week. Saturday night was really rough. I could not sleep at all. So, Sunday morning mom and dad decided to take me to the local emergency room to be checked out. All I can say about that is that I really hate I.V's. BUT the ride in the ambulance to El Paso was fun. I really like the red lights and sirens.
So, once we got down there they stuck me in the ICU unit for 3 days. Not much fun at all. For the first 24 hours I could not even get held or fed. It got a little bit better for the next couple of days but with all the wires and tubes they had attached to me it was really hard to get comfortable.
I guess the best part of it was being able to pull wires and hoses out and off just to see the nurses jump and run ;-)
They made me take a bath which made me mad but it did feel good to be clean again.
Mykela stayed with us on Sunday night. Kind of tight quarters but dad managed to find a spot on the floor to sleep on so I guess it was all good. But he was walking kind of funny again on Monday.
After 3 days in the ICU they moved me to another room. A little more freedom but still lots of hoses and wires to play with.
They let us come home really late on Wednesday night but I still have a long way to go to get well.
I have to stay home for at least the next 3 weeks and I can't have any visitors that are even slightly sick. I also have to do breathing treatments every few hours to help me get better. I also have a really bad cough that the Doctor says will be around for a week or two.
Today has been kind of fun. Mom had to go to town this morning and then again this afternoon. So this morning it was just dad and I and then this afternoon it was dad, Christopher and I around the house. Dad has been telling me all kinds of stories that I will have to work on typing up sometime.
For now I think it's time for a short nap and then maybe another bottle. I have more stories about the hospital that I will work on maybe tomorrow.
